Anthony Stereo Novelette

E. & H.T. Anthony Company
New York, NY

Ex-collection AntiQ-Photo

This beautiful 8” x 10” Anthony Stereo Novelette comes with brass Greenpoint lenses and was used for making 3D stereo images which Anthony marketed all over the world. Scovill & Adams had already patented a camera with a revolving back (vertical to horizontal), so Edward Anthony and his brother, H.T., created a system that allowed the back and bellows of their Novelette camera to be detached from the rear bed and rotated as desired. The stereo versions of the Novelette are rarely seen.
